Angela Luem

Angela Luem has been collaborating with MegLouise since 2012, supporting development of new work and activating new media installations. Notable contributions include performance and audience facilitation for Waist High & Elbow Deep; Scores for Distributed Dancing in Hong Kong; MegLouise danst Rosas at MCA Chicago; and Breakwall at Artprize.

Angela received her BFA from Southern Methodist University in dance performance. Upon graduation, she moved to New York City and worked as a pick-up dancer for Mark Dendy, Linda Diamond, Steele Dance, Dance Anonymous, and others. She moved to Mexico City to work with Tania Perez-Salad Co. de Danza, performing at: Jacob’s Pillow, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Touhill Performing Arts Center, Bellas Artes in Mexico City and touring Israel, Ireland and the US. More recently, she performed with Chicago-based groups: Kristina Isabella Dance Company, Timothy Buckley, R|E Dance, and The Moving Architects.
